Step 1
Determine your clients needs
At the first instance, your agency meets with your client and determines their needs, what's the purpose of the website? what does your client want the website to achieve? What functionality do they require?
Step 2
We'll provide you with a quote
Once you've determined your clients needs, we'll take a look over what's required and put together a quote. At this point we ask ourselves, who's creating the HTML? us or your agencies own developers? what standard modules are we using? do we need to develop new functionality to meet the clients needs? how long will all this take?
When calculating costs, there's a set free for the initial setup of Digital CMS, a fee if we create the HTML, and there may be fees for the customisation and styling of the standard modules. Finally, should a client require unique functionality, we'll also provide a quote for the development of that too.
Sample cost
A small content managed website, with us creating the HTML would cost in the region of £480 + VAT (you would expect to charge your client in the region of £1000). This may include modules such as News articles, download, Galleries and Testimonials. Modules such as the blog and store may incure additional charges as they are a little more complicated to integrate into the design.
Step 3
The quote has been approved
Once the quote has been approved, your designers can get to work designing your clients new website. They're free to get in touch with us at any point to query whether parts of the design will work.
Step 4
Converting the design to a web page
Once you have a design, and your client has approved it, we need to know who's creating the HTML/CSS. We can do this, or to cut costs, you're free to do this in-house.
We've got over 14 year of HTML/CSS experience, so you can be safe in the knowledge that we know what we're doing.
Step 5
Setup DigitalCMS and integrate the HTML/CSS
Now that the HTML has been created, we setup an empty copy of DigitalCMS along with the standard modules required for this site. We'll remove any modules that are not needed to avoid confusion with your client.
If your client has requested functionality that's going to be unique to their website, we'll create the necessary modules to handle this.
Next, we'll integrate the HTML/CSS into DigitalCMS and test everything thoroughly.
Step 6
Let the client take a look and get final approval
Once the integration is complete, the website is ready to be checked by your client. Once they've agreed the site is ready to go live, we move the site to a hosting account of yours or the clients choice.
That's it, your clients website is LIVE! Feel free to invoice your client.
